February 27th, 2024

Ulster GAA Secretary/CEO, Brian McAvoy, and Finance Administrator, Paul Sanders, with representatives of Pomeroy Plunketts GAC, one of the recipient clubs of the Ulster GAA Club Infrastructure Development Grant scheme for 2023.

One hundred and seventy-nine clubs from across the province have been awarded funding through Ulster GAA’s Club Infrastructure Development Grant scheme for 2023.

It is the highest ever number of clubs receiving support from Ulster GAA in a single year, with the total award amounting to almost €700,000.

The aim of the scheme is to assist clubs in the improvement and development of their physical infrastructure, with capital works completed between 01/10/2021 and 30/09/2023 eligible for support.

Ulster GAA Treasurer, Declan Woods commented:

“Our clubs carry out tremendous work in terms of delivering physical developments for their members and communities, and Ulster GAA is delighted to recognise these efforts by supporting this record number of applications.

“The GAA is proud of the continuous redistribution of its income to grass roots causes throughout the country. Every year, 83 cent of every euro goes back out into clubs to help fund developments such as infrastructure projects.”

“The funding provided through this scheme highlights the ambition and vision of the clubs within our nine counties to improve facilities for future generations.”
