Twenty-two players from six Ulster counties have received football nominations in the GAA PwC All-Star Awards for 2025, which were announced today.

Murphy is also shortlisted for the PwC GAA/GPA Footballer of the Year award,  and Roarty earns a nomination for the Young Footballer of the Year prize, alongside last year’s winner Armagh’s Oisín Conaty.

There are five nominations for Ulster finalists Armagh; Ethan Rafferty, Jarly Óg Burns, Ross McQuillan, Oisín Conaty and Rory Grugan. Elsewhere, Monaghan have three nominations; Rory Beggan, Dessie Ward and Micheal Bannigan; while Tyrone duo Niall Devlin and Kieran McGeary make the 45-player list, as do Down’s Odhran Murdock and Derry’s Conor Glass.

The All-Star nominations were chosen by a group of Gaelic Games Correspondents from across print, radio, tv and digital media and was chaired by Uachtarán CLG, Jarlath Burns. This will be the 54th year of the awards stretching back to 1971.

The PwC All-Stars will be presented at a gala black-tie event at Dublin’s RDS on Friday November 7, which will be shown live on RTÉ. The football team will be announced live on the night as well as the player of the year awards in hurling and football.
