The Ulster Poc Fada 2026 took place on Tuesday 16 June at Gowkstown Hill, Glenarm, with Shane O’Neill’s GAC once again providing an excellent venue for the annual competition.

Competitors faced a challenging mountain course that tested both their striking skills and endurance.

In the Senior Men’s competition, Sean Óg McLaren (Naomh Pól, Antrim) claimed the title and set a new course record with a score of 23 pocs and 191 yards. He finished ahead of Connor Delaney (Cavan) and Finbarr Kelly (Down), who both recorded 24 pocs.

The Senior Ladies title went to Eimear Colton (Naomh Treasa, Tyrone), who produced an excellent display to win on 31 pocs. Ciarraí Devlin (Armagh) finished second, with Charlie Kelly (Down) in third place.

Damian Laverty (Loughgiel Shamrocks, Antrim) won the U16 Boys competition with a score of 26 pocs and 119 yards, narrowly edging out Fiachna McAleenan (Down).

In the U16 Girls competition, Gráinne McAleenan (Liatroim Fontenoys, Down) took first place on 35 pocs. Annie Fox-McGlone (Tyrone) and Cara Rose Griffin (Derry) finished close behind on 36 pocs.

The four winners, along with Senior Men’s runner-up Connor Delaney, will now represent Ulster at the All-Ireland Poc Fada Finals on Monday 3 August 2026 on Annaverna Mountain, Co. Louth.

Ulster GAA and Ulster Camogie would like to thank Shane O’Neill’s GAC, St John Ambulance, all officials, volunteers, competitors and spotters for their contribution to another successful staging of this unique event.

We wish all of our Ulster representatives the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Finals.
