Fear Manach Club Championship Latest

In a repeat of the 2018 Final, Derrygonnelly Harps and Ederney St Joseph’s will play in next weekend’s Quinn Building Products Senior Football Championship Final on Sunday 27th September at 6:00pm.

Ederney will be aiming to deny Derrygonnelly a sixth county title in a row and in doing so, secure only the club’s second every Senior Championship, the other one being in 1968.

Both sides will go in with confidence although the defending champions will be the favourites in most people’s eyes.

Ederney overcame a tough Teemore challenge in the Semi Final racking up an impressive scoreline of 2-16, whereas Derrygonnelly had more than enough against a lacklustre Kinawley outfit that will be disappointed only to register 1-02 against the Harps’ 2-07.

The Kevin Courtney Intermediate Championship Final pairing will be concluded this weekend with Belcoo O’Rahilly’s and Maguiresbridge St Mary’s doing battle on Sunday 20th September to see who gets to meet Enniskillen Gaels in next Saturday’s Final. The two teams couldn’t be separated last Sunday, but Maguiresbridge will be disappointed they didn’t close the game out with two late chances to secure victory.

The Peter Carty Junior Football Championship has been put back by a week owing to an abandoned match between Newtownbutler First Fermanaghs and Derrylin O’Connells after a serious injury to Gaby Jones towards the end of the second half. That Semi Final has been fixed for Sunday with the loser playing off against Coa O’Dwyers to see who plays in the Final in two weeks’ time.
