Ulster Council is made up of a body of volunteers who oversee the promotion of Gaelic Games and Irish culture and heritage across Ulster.
Their role as Ulster GAA Volunteers is to develop Gaelic Games across all the codes – football, hurling, camogie, rounders and handball. Ulster GAA is managed by volunteers and supported by a dedicated staff team.
There are various volunteering roles within Ulster GAA including: Ulster GAA Officers, Council Delegates, Committee Chairpersons, Committee Vice Chairs, Committee Secretary, Committee Members.
In addition to these formal governance roles, Ulster GAA recruits volunteers in the following positions:

- Gate/Ticketing Volunteers – Reliable and trustworthy Gate volunteers are a must for all our games and competitions. Ulster GAA has a pool of trained gate volunteers who assist with matches and events. For more information contact brian.mallon.ulster@gaa.ie
- Championship Programme Sales Teams – Ulster GAA is responsible for recruiting Championship Programme Sales Teams for all our Championship fixtures. For more information contact paul.mcgurk.ulster@gaa.ie
- Club Planners – Ulster GAA recruits and trains a pool of facilitators to assist with club planning. This is a dedicated pool of volunteers who assist clubs to achieve their best in terms of governance and development. For more information contact elaine.mckeown.ulster@gaa.ie
- Inter-Organisational Volunteering: Ulster GAA in partnership with IFA and Ulster Rugby offers inter-organisational volunteering opportunities where volunteers experience volunteering in all three sports. For more information contact sharon.haughey.ulster@gaa.ie
