Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Uladh
An exciting and busy weekend in Down Club Championship lies ahead. This week sees the finishing of the championship across the majority of our football and hurling finals. It has been a nail biting championship with a number of games having to go to extra time and penalties to decide the winners. Also we see a number of teams reaching their perspective finals for the first time, so great excitement across the county.
Unfortunately due to the current circumstances we are unable to see the usual numbers in the crowds of both supporters and neutrals who would usually attend our games, but we have been able to stream matches each week, as well as all our finals by PaircTV. This has proved invaluable service both for supporters who cannot attend the games, as well as those overseas.
On Friday 18th September, the Parador Lodge Junior Football Championship final between Aughlisnafin and St Paul’s promises to be an exciting encounter in Pairc Esler.
On Saturday it is the turn of the Morgan Fuels Senior Hurling final between Ballycran and Portaferry, a re-match of last year’s final taking place in Ballygalget.
Also on Saturday the Morgan Fuels Minor Football final is on in Pairc Esler between Burren and Bredagh.
Sunday is both the Parador Lodge Intermediate and the Morgan Fuels Senior Football Championship finals. Saul meet Drumgath in Pairc Esler at 3pm with current champions Kilcoo meeting Carryduff, who have reached the final for the first time in the clubs history!
Along with PaircTV we are offering the games at £6 a game or we also have a bundle available for all five matches for £20.
It promises to be a busy weekend with very interesting games for both the supporter and neutral!
