It is now just over a year since the Activate GAA programme was launched at the 2014 Ulster GAA coaching conference. A series of workshops for coaches across the counties of Ulster have also been held and the Activate GAA website containing coaching resources was developed to assist in the dissemination and implementation of the programme. Ulster GAA in association with the Sorts Institute want to find out if these resources have been useful and to hear coaches thoughts about the Activate GAA programme.
The Activate GAA Warm-up was developed by the Sports Institute Northern Ireland (SINI), Ulster GAA coaches and an expert group of Sports Medicine Professionals (including County team Physiotherapists, Physicians and Orthopaedic Knee Consultants) to reduce what appears to be an increasing number of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in GAA playing population.
This survey is being carried out to improve our understanding of how the Activate GAA warm-up has influenced knowledge and practice of injury prevention warm-ups among GAA coaches in Ulster. The Survey takes approximately 6 minutes to complete. Please click the following link to take part:
