Player, Performance & Lifestyle

Performance -Player, Performance & Lifestyle sectionPlayer Performance Programmes focus first and foremost on the person. The development of the person, their values and their attitudes is a prelude to developing the player.

Players in performance programmes are required to have the motivation to engage and commitment to their personal development. The positive holistic development of the player contributes to the wider community as well as to the player the performer. This is central to our vision and mission. To give the variety of areas within this performance and lifestyle area, it’s imperative that stakeholders work together to deliver a joined-up programme for the player.

Vision for Player, Performance & Lifestyle

“We want well-balanced people involved in our games who are regarded as ‘people-first’ and ‘player-second’. They are well-prepared, skilful decision-makers who understand the component parts of performance and bring these into their preparation, their performance and their everyday lives.”
