Pillars of Performance

Every athlete desires success – for some this means winning medals. However, success involves more than just winning, it is about performing as close to your potential as possible. Doing your job!

For an athlete to be successful there are 5 factors which contribute.

  • Physical
  • Technical
  • Tactical
  • Mental
  • Lifestyle

Each player is asked to select 3 factors under each pillar which are important / relevant to them. Then they mark themselves out of 10, where they currently feel they are.

Finally, they set themselves a target for where they want to be in 12 months’ time.
