Sunday 1st October marked the start of the 2017 AIB Ulster Club Championships – Hurling leading the way with Quarter Final games in the Junior & Intermediate Championships.

Ulster GAA in association with Translink has unearthed an outstanding young GAA volunteer from Killeavy GAA, Co Armagh. 24 year old Cliodhna McAteer has been awarded the Translink Young GAA Volunteer of the Month Award for August 2017, following a nomination from her club which demonstrated her outstanding contribution to Killeavy GAA.

Ulster GAA and Derry GAA, in conjunction with National GAA, provided bibs and banners for the first ever Gaelic Football team to take part in the Football v Homophobia initiative which was included in the Foyle Pride Festival on August 25th and 26th in Derry City.
